Necessity of Teacher's Awareness on Sexual Education Dimensions for Safe Passage of Learners in Cyberspace

Abstract

Cyberspace is increasingly becoming a true online social ecosystem where multiple users can interact with each other through screens in virtual spaces. One of the things students are looking for is sexual discussions, and many people even teachers and administrators consider sexual talks to be limited to a physiological and biological instinct. The necessity of educational system practitioners to focus on different realms of sex education, for learners to pass safely in cyberspace, is a subject studied in this research with a descriptive-analytical method. The realms of sexual education have been examined from the two perspectives of the liberal and moderate approach in Islam, The liberal approach has different realms such as physiological, physical health, mental health, social health, emotional management, and life skills, and the moderate approach has different areas such as biological, psychological and Value, social and spiritual. Concerning the mentioned realms, what makes sexual education necessary is awareness of puberty and precocious puberty; fostering desirable gender identity, sublimation of sexual energy; comprehensive approach to deal with cyber harassment; strengthening veil and chastity, preserving human dignity and observance of moderation; Culture developing of the use of virtual space, Promotion of digital literacy and virtual identity; strengthening the spiritual spirit and institutionalizing virtual piety. Therefore, the familiarity of those involved with the areas of sexual education in a moderate approach can be suggested as one of the important solutions and strategies for the primary prevention of sexual problems and health promotion. Our findings help to better understand the interaction of young people with technology and direct the future paths for the education system practitioners to be aware of the fields of sexual education and provide social experiences so that learners can face cyberspace more safely and satisfactorily.
